Have you heard the good news?

22 Jun 2009 In: Advice

Hey folk, have you heard it? People are saying that within 2015  there would be no poverty, rather all would have food, safe drinking water and healthy life even social health too, sounds fancy, is it not, ha? but believe me there is a campaign, from UNDP.

One thing is clear, do you know, this financial crisis is going. The cloud over the sky of Europe and America is feeble now, no more raining, the sun is peeping through the dark cumulonimbus. So we are safe! but already American media started saying that they are safe now. The saviour is Barrack Hercules Obama the great. Because he declared some policy revamp in banking sector, because his health care policy appears realistic, and becaue Nasdaq showed slight rally.  And one organisation of Munich CESifo declared that German entrepreneurs are confident about better investment weather, according to their finding notable (wich is merely one percent hike in their index in comparison to the previous month). So ostensibly this is recovery from the recession. If this big brother in Eurozone smiles all will smile oneday. Are you happy? At least I am very happy. Because, I really don’t want to write about anything negative… Really I am reluctant to discuss all morbid stories. I hate sharing tales of trauma and trouble. But, unfortunately sometime I suppose to do. Very bad!

In our happy play ground please allow me to hide facts … like

  1. Iran in trouble
  2. in Baghdad bombs and bombers are restless
  3. Pakistan still wrestling with Talibans
  4. the rate of unemployement is fathomed, and told that is not a finite number
  5. in India, maoists are troubling, no not new thing, but government deals it with new approach, and that is destroying the peace, or better to say creating new trouble, do you know that? no

… you can google it any way.

3days(dot)com…

4 Jun 2009 In: Advice

The three days ultra super (can i use the term Nano also?) crash course in online journalism was informative to me. I had no clue what online journalism was all about. But I always search the web for any developing news or information. Mr Peter Tzrka was amazing. It is not an easy task to compress the syllabus for 3 months into three days but he still made the best out of the time given to him. I think i will be able to analyze a website and say why it is good or why it could have been better. Information architecture, utilization of real estate, being user friendly, navigation and content generation were some of the topics we learnt. I wish we had an elaborate course in this area but i can understand that we had no time. I personally found this course to be very beneficial as my home media is planning to invite world renowned media designer Mario Garcia ( he had already redesigned our newspaper sucessfully and the deisgn was implemented in a record time of 6 months across all editions) to redesign our website.
